Arash Fouladvand

Arash Fouladvand is a composer, conductor, and founder of the Bahar Choir, recognized as a leading figure in promoting Persian music on the international stage. He began playing the piano at the age of eight and, during his studies at the University of Tehran, organized charity recitals in support of the Mahak Foundation.

In 2006, he moved to France to pursue doctoral studies at the Institut Français du Pétrole, while simultaneously gaining admission to the Conservatoire National d’Aubervilliers. There, he trained in solfège, harmony, orchestration, and conducting under distinguished professors.

His professional artistic journey in Europe began in 2011 with the founding of the Bahar Choir in Paris. Shortly after, he established the East Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, bringing together graduates of major Paris conservatories. As a composer and conductor, he has led numerous projects, including Voice of Peace and Silk Road.

In 2016, he expanded his work internationally by founding the London branch of the Bahar Choir. Continuing this trajectory, he launched the Arash Fouladvand Academy in 2020, which now includes over 500 students from around the world. This expansion continued in 2025 with the opening of a physical branch in Amsterdam.

In recent years, his artistic focus has been on composing and producing works inspired by great Persian poets such as Rumi and Hafez. All compositions are his own, created with the aim of introducing Persian culture and literature to global audiences.

His major productions include “Rumi – Love Songs” (2024), performed at UNESCO Hall in Paris and in London, and “Mystical Songs – A Tribute to Hafez” (2025), staged at UNESCO Paris and Central Hall Westminster in London. Both projects were met with strong audience reception and critical acclaim.

Since 2010, Arash Fouladvand has presented numerous concerts across Europe, consistently guided by a simple yet profound belief:
Every human being has a voice worth being heard.

At the heart of his work lies a universal vision:
Music is a space where people, beyond borders, can connect, be seen, and be inspired.

About Bahar Choir

Bahar Choir is a welcoming musical community created to bring people together through the joy of singing. Under the artistic direction of Arash Fouladvand, the choir has grown into the largest Farsi-speaking choir outside Iran, with members joining from many backgrounds, ages, and levels of experience.

Bahar Choir began as a small group of people who simply wanted to sing Persian music in a friendly environment. Today, it has become a vibrant international family with active choirs in London, Paris, and Amsterdam, offering singers a space to connect, learn, and express themselves through music.

The choir’s repertoire celebrates the beauty of Persian culture, from timeless poetry by Hafez, Saadi, and Molana to contemporary choral arrangements. Every project is designed to make music accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable even for those who have never sung in a choir before. At its heart, Bahar Choir is more than an ensemble.
It’s a community built on warmth, creativity, and shared experience where voices come together, friendships form, and Persian music finds new life across the world.
